Steamtown Locomotive Prepares to Depart

  image

Steamtown locomotive 1293 blowing steam at the museum station. This locomotive was originally built for the Canadian Pacific Railway by Canadian Locomotive Company in June 1948. The 4-6-2 Pacific type locomotive was one of the first used to pull excursion trains after Steamtown moved from New Hampshire to Vermont in 1964. Here we see it in action 14 years later.
