Canadian Pacific Railway 2816 at Steamtown

  CPR 2929, a 4-6-4 Hudson

Canadian Pacific Railway No. 2816 is a 4-6-4 "Hudson" type locomotive. It was built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in December 1930. When it was in service on the Canadian Pacific the engine wore smoke deflectors or "elephant ears" alongside the smokebox. They were removed before number 2929 was put on display at Steamtown. Here it is seen sitting on display in Bellows Falls, VT in 1978.
F. Nelson Blount acquired No. 2816 for the Steamtown Foundation in January 1964.
