On Sunday August 25, 2002 over 600,000 people toured the northbound section of the new Interstate 93 tunnel, one piece of the "Big Dig". It was dry in the tunnel that day. After being opened to traffic the tunnel has sprung many leaks allowing water to drip, and sometimes stream, into it.
