It was HOT (90+ degrees) and HUMID (90+% humidity) when I arrived in Washington. It stayed like that for the three days I was there. All of my daytimes were spent inside of Smithsonian Museum buildings. I spent a full day at the
half a day at the National Museum of Natural History and much of a day at the
National Museum of American History.
I went out for a sauna one night to take these photos of the Capitol Building
and the Washington Monument.
While I was in Washington there was a scattered sidewalk art display of Party Animals.
Union Station is still an active train station,
and a major renovation in the 1980's transformed a section of it into a shopping mall.
