The Meadow River Lumber Company Locomotive No. 1 is a two-truck Shay-patent geared locomotive typical of engines used by many lumber, mining, and quarry company railroads. This photo was taken at the Steamtown Foundation in Bellows Falls, Vermont in 1978.
